This overweight man is in need of a dietI shall try to address issue of a great diet for an overweight man.You see there are a huge  variety of reasons for a person to be over weight and most of them are for mental reasons. Firstly I must say a great big congratulations to you for even taking the time to look up this page as it obviously says to me you want to do something about your mass.

Unless of course you are looking it up because of your concerns about someone who is in need of some assistance. Either way kudos to you. You have made the first positive step towards addressing this issue and with the aid of this site we will soon have you or the person on track.

Now it does of course depend on just how overweight the person has become. However fundamentally the principles of any good and honest weight loss program are the same. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again as it cannot be repeated enough.  DIET AND EXERCISE are the two components that make up a healthy body.


Before You Start A Great Diet For An Over Weight Man You Must Stop The……

Oh dear I am overweightNow let us get straight to the point. You absolutely must construct a healthy diet menu. Look at that for some suggestions. Cut out  EVERYTHING that is SUGARY basically as we should know sugar is very bad for you.

You could even replace your fizzy drinks and sweetened fruit juices and cordial with juicers which are an exceptionally healthy alternative to them. These are the first steps in creating a new you for sure.

You will need to get in the correct frame of mind also so for this we are going to need to be highly motivated not to throw the proverbial towel in at the first sign of not really liking something. Whether it be an exercise or part of you new found healthy diet.


Combine The Two

oh no I need to dietThen it let it be said that it  MUST be combined with some form of regular exercise regime. THIS IS INCREDIBLY IMPORTANT As I have alluded to elsewhere on this site you can certainly lose weight through dieting alone but let there be no doubt  that you will most drastically increase your chances of losing more weight 10 fold, and a lot quicker with a completely free and guaranteed exercise plan.You do NOT HAVE TO join an expensive gym.

You will be incredibly out of shape and the fact that you will have to walk in there in front of others is not going to be easy let alone if they are regular gym goers with their amazingly toned figures. Then in struts you. I don’t think so you are far better off doing some home exercises to start with until you have gained some confidence. This is very understandable.

You will probably find that you are happy exercising in the comfort of your own home but the gym is always there should you feel like you are making good progress and want the social aspect of exercising that a gym can bring.

Remember this. Rome wasn’t built in a day. It is a UK saying and it means it will take time, time to accomplish the goals that you have set for yourself. So give it just this and stick to your diet no matter what else you may have your eye on to eat. Think of the long term health benefits and keep going back to the reason you wanted to lose weight initially. This will help to keep you on the right path.     Great article. Whether it be bulking or losing weight. Diet is always the key. I’ve seen people blaming genetics for almost anything. It’s always genetics that seems to get blamed for people being too skinny or too fat. However, I do recommend you to talk about the importance of carbs for losing/gainingh weight. People are always avoiding and they fail to realize that they’re still gaining weight despite their avoidance of fats. More fat less carbs is the way to go.

  2. Great post! I would just like to ask what foods can I eat that is high in energy? I like to cut down my carbs but whenever I don’t eat rice or bread, I am immediately hungry after an hour. What diet can you recommend that is high in energy.

    1. Well drink coffee in moderation

      Drink plenty of tea which contains Theanine which helps to calm u 🙂

      Dehydration often limits mental capacity so you may feel tired so try drinking water too.

      Cereals most often contain the high energy producing vitamin B

      Apricots contain anti oxidants which it is very important to keep stocked up on

      Bananas are s slow releaser of energy so they are good for your query

      For an energy boost you can consume nots such as walnuts.

      Something that is good for brain boosting function is called Choline and this can be found in eggs.

      Salmon herring or mackerel contain B vitamins which is obviously great for energy.

    Great basic information. As my cardiologist keeps telling me “eat less, exercise more.” In addition to sugary foods, I recommend everyone quit eating bread – it seems to have a terrible effect on weight and weight-loss programs. I see that you recommend a rowing machine, in another post, as a tool for exercise. I agree that’s a great option. Personally I use and old NordicTrak Ski Machine and do interval exercises with it. 20 minutes three times a week and it actually leads to weight loss. Same thing can be done with a rowing machine, bicycle or similar apparatus. Keep up the good work!

    1. yes bread is a no no unless wholewheat/Wholemeal even then it should be had in extreme moderation. Interval training is one of the best ways to lose weight for sure and yes your ski track machine WILL do the job just fine. Thanks for the comment sir 🙂

  4. I’ve got the feeling that you and I are basically on the same page! I’ve just been reading through your site and appreciate the posts.

    As I’m not a man I guess I should be commenting elsewhere on your site but wanted to really encourage you and the work you’re doing. We have a son that uses a wheelchair for outings but but one thing he sure doesn’t have trouble with is weight. Don’t think he eats enough!

  5. I think the best comment you made was that it takes time. Too many people are looking for a quick fix to weight loss. It takes time, effort, patience, and a whole lot of discipline. What foods to you think are best for weight loss? What exercise do you recommend?

    1. Thank you very much Shannon and yes I have made it short and to the point but yet yes very encouraging as well. Most guys hit the ages 35-45 and get the aptly named middle aged spread so I hope my site can offer up some assistance.
