Exercises To Lose Weight

Home exercises to lose weight is what should you do. Exercise is a crucial part to go along side your diet. You will improve by changing your diet, but you will massively improve if you also undergo a strict exercise plan to lose weight as well.

First, you really ought to be setting the scene for your attempt but to do so make sure that you meet the requirements and have a great weight loss diet firmly in place.

There are lots of exercises that can be done in the comfort of our home although, depending on what it is and how much you are attempting to lose, a small investment may have to be made. It is easy to do home exercises to lose weight.

6 Home Exercises To Lose Weight, Try Them

Number 1 The Rowing Machine

Try this as one of your 6 home exercises to lose weight. It will help you will this rowing machine

If you do go ahead and spend a little (WHICH IF YOU ARE SERIOUS ABOUT YOUR WEIGHT LOSS YOU WILL) Then you will have to purchase one or both of these two pieces of apparatus, Firstly there is the rowing machine.

There is one that comes highly recommended to help you to naturally lose weight and is for sale at a bargain price on this site.

Number 2

The Exercise Bike

The second is an EB (exercise bike), an absolute must if you wish to exercise at home. The bike, like the rowing machine, is excellent for your cardiovascular system (breathing and recovery)

The quicker your breathing returns to the normal comfortable range then generally the fitter you are. Both of these are excellent items; they are available to purchase right here on my site.

Number 3

The Stomach Crunch

The Classic, A Cartoon Of A Man Doing A Sit-Up

In another post, I do suggest this next exercise, and I cannot stress it enough. It is the stomach crunch. Be seated and lie flat on your back in an open space. It does not, however, have to be a huge area as you will only be moving up and down and not around the vicinity.

Lie straight and cross your arms on your chest as it is easy to form a bad habit of using them to “lever” your way up to count one which makes it simpler and will cheat you out of the maximum effect of them.

You will get extra assistance when purchasing something that goes hand in glove with this exercise such as a sit-up frame. If you are not used to exercising then I suggest you try this out.

With yourself in a perfectly horizontal position bring the top half of your body 6 inches off the ground, You must keep your back STRAIGHT AND REMAIN FOCUSSED ON THE CEILING.

Start with doing 30 and when you have done this take a 2-minute rest. No more than this, though. Then start again and do 25. Then two-minute rest then 20 all the way down to five.

(You follow?) Each 5 lessening and all with a 2-minute break, Then when you have done down to and including the five the process is then repeated in reverse.

This is what is called a pyramid and will strengthen your core and your abs will also tone and tighten the more frequently it is done. This is purely a strength exercise and not a cardiovascular workout and will most DEFINITELY help you to lose weight naturally.

Number 4 – The Squat Thrust

Next, we move on to squat thrusts. These are great for the legs and rectus abdomini (STOMACH MUSCLES) It is also like the exercise bike and rowing machine an intense cardiovascular workout.

Simply push yourself to a place that you are comfortable with then stop. Make a mental note of that number and then decrease in increments of 5.

Remember you have to climb back up the pyramid so don’t make it an impossible task. You must finish on the number that you started with so try maybe 15 to start with and then 10 then 5 and back up.

This is just an example as I am well aware that fitness levels will differ enormously.

Number 5 – Jogging On The Spot

A Graphic Of A Man Crossing The Finish Line Running

Jogging on the spot. There is a lot to be said for this type of exercise. It is unfortunate that I can’t partake in it as my disability will not allow it.

This is nearly as effective as a treadmill so you can lose weight naturally by doing this. Like the exercise bike and the treadmill, it is an excellent cardio workout too and will help you towards a fitter and lighter you.

Set yourself a time limit and stick to the duration you set. You must feel shattered and glad to sit when you have finished. The bonus with this is it can be done absolutely anywhere that you can stand.

Number 6 – The Press Up

The press up is yet another exercise that used to be very common but over the last decade has somewhat dwindled in popularity. Again this is not a cardio workout but when combined with these it will boost your overall level of fitness.

Start off with the same fundamental principle as you did in the squat thrusts. Find a number which you are pretty MAXED OUT at and then decrease in increments then rise again to finish on that number.

To reach that number as with all of these individual exercises should be a super human effort. As your fitness gets better you will be able to raise the numbers for your pyramids.

Remember what I have alluded to in other posts that you MUST combine with a really good, healthy weight loss diet. It is an essential component by itself but will work 10 x better when they are adjacent to one another. Side by side if you like.

As a lady compounded my thoughts (backed them up) I am aware that not ever one can indeed do these kids of exercise and this could be down to not just being overweight but also due to medical conditions such as arthritis.

You Will Definitely Need

Click on the link to see the prices at Amazon of some of some exercise equipment you will most definitely need along with your journey if it is that you choose to lose your excess weight.

They will make the whole process much easier for you and you will certainly see more rapid results.

You see, once you have got your diet under control all that you need to have is the other half of the equation in order for your weight loss attempt to be a success. To what am I referring? The exercise of course.

Unfortunately none of the exercises are possible for me as I have arthritis in my knee – cannot bend it easily or kneel or squat and if I got on floor on my back to do crunches. would never get up again!

Yes I know about restricted mobility as I{ am as I said on site, disabled and so (lower body and only the use of one arm) So I can really only do upper body exercises for which I am doing a post at the moment actually.

I am also somewhat restricted since I have many medical issues. I enjoy walking, but now with my weight gain, I only walk a little, but as I breath better, I can walk more. I have emphysema and so it is very important for me to lose weight. I can only eat meat and fruit. I do not eat a lot of pasta. I have blood issues (almost died with blood clots in my lungs–that is when I was in a induced coma and when you wake up all sorts of experiences in seeing things)

Anyway I take warfarin and can not eat very many vegetables; in fact, I only drink V-8 juice. I always bake my meat. I am on SSI so have very little money, but my friend has a the bike you turn with your feet. She will let me have it. I know you need these bought from your affiliate product. When I get sales from my website, I won’t forget you. I have a friend who is paraplegic and in a wheelchair, and he just put his hands on the chair and lifts himself up. Can you do that with one arm? My dad told me one time that when you get old, the exercises do not do as well as when you are younger. Takes more exercise. I get on the floor and do the exercises you talked about. I did this and lost a lot of weight. I need to do it again. You help provide the motivation for me. Thanks.

I need to divide my time from the computer (WA). I get on the floor to clean up the cat hair off the floor with a brush. Housework is a great exercise. Oh yes, my daughter has severe arthritis in the knee too, but she exercises it and others too. That is the best thing if you have arthritis. EXERCISE! Than is what I would tell Jenny. I have not finished my website yet, but if you have time, will you take a look at it? Sounds like a plan.

Did you get that phrase from the Michael Connelly novels? The detective novel with Bosch is the source of that statement. He also said, “Everybody counts or nobody counts.” I can tell that is your attitude. You want to help everybody, but remember people have to do their part to want to be helped. I will send a PM soon. I like your website. I just wished I had the funds. I have trouble with money issues. I love learning and that is why I really love WA.

It is all new to me and so exercises my brain. Best to you. Do you like my motto I will have on my opening website (not done yet) “Let me entertain you.” “Everyone has a story and my story is the 501 jean is an investment in a good appearance. Talk with you again soon.

My mother died when I was 8 from emphysema 🙁 Also I would like to thank you for the quotes they are not only enlightening but oh so true especially the one about helping yourself too. Of course, I will take a look at your website, definitely. PM it to me and we’ll go through it together.

As much as I love all the things that a gym has to offer, I prefer to work out at home. I love my exercise bike and wouldn’t trade it. Thanks for explaining the squat thrusts and press up in detail, as I am interested in including these into my exercise routine. I really like your site and will be back. Great information, as always!

    Hi Simon.

This was very eye opening to read. I never realized that jogging on the spot or in place helped that much so I kind of ignored that part of exercise, lol.

Thanks for your great info on this site, I am following it. And I admire your strength and determination in spite of having a disability-I can relate-I have an auto-immune disease and they classified me as “disabled” but I like to think otherwise. But I know we have to accept what we are.

Also, exercise does wonders for my pain-within reason of course. It’s amazing.

    Thanks.
