And as a matter of fact, as I have said elsewhere, joining a local gym is all well and good. What gets in the way of a lot of people, though, is finding the time. Also, having the motivation to go and do a solid workout. Immediately, you face the problem of TIME. With these, you can exercise at length, no issues.
That said, and also the fact that they are usually a monthly recurring cost. Which we could most of us do without, right?

Savvy[Smart] Sexy People Use The Best Home Gym Fitness Equipment

Have you ever wondered why savvy [Smart] good-looking people look the way they do? I bet you have. Well, you can bet your last dollar it is because they work out. Yes, they use some home gym fitness equipment.

In any event, instead of purchasing it to sit there. Try using it. Very few of us are born with the ability to turn heads with our body. So, what do they do correctly? The answer to this is a simple one. They either join a gym or do some healthy fitness routines at home, and on a regular basis too.

No, they are more than likely the way they are due to the time. Time spent coupled with the effort that they put in working on their bodies. That is something that you too can do. If you want to be like them, then acquire some apparatus and use it regularly. Soon you will be just like them. Your hard work WILL pay off because that is how they do it.

You Need A Purpose To Use This Home Gym Equipment For 2017 = Health And Weight Loss

All of this home gym fitness equipment for 2017 concentrates on YOUR fitness and weight loss. And,
it is to help you to lose weight and get healthy. It would, therefore, seem only sensible to buy one or more of these “tools.” So, under those circumstances, if you stop and consider it, you can do it. Later on, you will thank yourself, we guarantee it. Therefore, with them, along with your new body, the will mean you will never have been happier.
  • Additionally, you can workout whenever you want to.
  • Likewise, they will save time on traveling to and from the gym.
  • Another critical point is because now, you will save money on memberships.
  • Also, you will be close on hand to carry out any other tasks which need attending.

So, Why Not Own Some Home Gym Fitness Equipment

Finally, all of the above are very valid points. Also, owning some home gym fitness equipment. Well, it will not only save you some of your money. In effect, it will keep you available for anything that may happen that you did not see coming.

Such as that knock at the door that may be around the corner. So, in conclusion, and on the positive side of things to WILL BE IN to receive it.

Just think about it for a minute. If you can afford to save some money for a month or two, then you should do so. Then, would it not be better to buy some home gym fitness equipment. And of course, you can use it over and over again. Surely it is well worth having in your home.

Sure, for one thing, you can do this at a gym, but think about the REGULAR EXTRA COST. The money is leaving the bank account month after month. I would say, BUY once.

Therefore the real gift of owning your device is that it is yours to do with as you please. Generally speaking, you can keep using it to maintain your weight. Or your fitness level, or even sell it on when it has “done the job” for what it meant.

Until then, it is yours to do with as you please. So, in the meantime, use it and use it a lot. Because exercise is vital to any weight loss goals, you may have. During the time of “Training,” you will be able to see yourself becoming lighter and losing the pounds.

Firstly, you are going to find that it not as bad as you might think. And, secondly, using something which is already there in your room is more leisurely. Not to mention the fact that you are just yards away. Again, it is easier than if you had to drive the KMS to get to it. And the effects are just as real.

You will want to keep the machine. As an example of this, there was this friend of ours. He lost nearly 84 lbs. All he did was adjust his diet and use a rowing machine. In addition to this, he just bought some home gym fitness equipment. And as soon as he did this, he was ready. Ready to win. And that is just what he did.

No Excuse

To summarize, you require home gym fitness equipment. You will then be aware that there is no reason you can think of not to do the workouts. And besides, it seems like to me, and you will probably find this out for yourself. Thus, the value that these machines are to you is AMAZING.

So, having some home gym fitness equipment will help your success. Either in getting the healthier you or losing your extra weight. Even though, losing weight means becoming healthier. In general circumstances in any case.

Therefore, we must say this in conclusion. Once the diet is a go, you need to have is the other half of the equation in place. This way, you can reach your weight loss goals. Why? Because we are of course talking about the exercise.

After that, when you have read this post, go to this link on Home Gym exercise equipment. Here you will undoubtedly see some hand-chosen items for that reason. They will surely bring you a lot of success with your weight loss mission.

Hi! great post, I normally go to the gym but I also love working out at home! I normally run on treadmill, however, they are really expensive but I am trying to save some money to buy one! I will definitely come back to your post and buy from here! Thank you for the information 😀

    1. Simon Watson Post author

Wowzer, thank you Javiera, firstly may I say that your comment is highly appreciated. And I am so happy that you liked what was on offer. Unfortunately, you are correct matey, treadmills can be an expensive buy. However, when you choose the correct one, to begin with, then it should last you for years and years to come. So that you can run for miles and miles on it without there ever being a problem. Once more, I thank you.

  2. Bailey

I am glad to know I am in the right place! I already own the treadmill you suggested! Woohoo! Do you really think home gym equipment is necessary to lose weight? I think it would definitely help benefit many people, but I know sometimes I am more motivated if I get myself to the gym instead of working out at home. I am a powerlifter and do have my own home gym but also belong to a powerlifting gym as well. I find that my workouts are better when I am at the gym due to the community aspect of working out

    1. Simon Watson Post author

Haha, I am very happy for you too. And may I ask you, which one do you have as I am curious? And yes you are right. There is the social aspect that others can give you. And they can also help to motivate you.

However, going to the gym straight away when you are just starting your workout and weight loss attempt, well, it seems a little over-ambitious. Most people who are beginning their weight loss journey do not yet feel very confident about the way they look. In other words, their morale is low.

So I think starting out at home is a great way to get in some kind of “Shape”, before being brave and heading off down to the gym.

Thank you for the comment, Bailey.

Thanks very much Karlo, and yes, I have tried to include as much information as I possibly can so the reader can make a much more informed decision as to whether or not they wish to purchase the item, or even just a lot more information on the given equipment in my reviews of them, which I take it you read?

I have lost and gained more weight than an elephant weighs! The truth is almost all diets work. It up to the dieter to follow the diet plan. After many years of my weight going up and down .from 180 to 270 pounds. I found that the low carb diet worked best for me. I started off with the Adkins diet and converted it to something a little healthier. Eating more chicken and less beef helped. Also ate lean ground beef.
I owned a treadmill and found it very easy to watch TV and use the treadmill. Kept my mind off the strenuous activity.
Now I walk outside more and do different types of exercise.
I like the working out at home.

    1. Simon Watson Post author

Yes, working out at home is far more preferable to going to the gym time -wise, all you need is at least one piece of home gym fitness equipment. You may be able to get some more ideas from this post of mine Russell https://whatisweightlossabout.com/home-gym-exercise… and if you do not mind could you please share it? 6. Craig | UK TV Services Abroad

These look great but I was kind of hoping to find a bench as I do a lot of weights.
Can you recommend any particular brand, I’m not really into cycling or rowing?
I have a bench in my spare room at home but it’s past it’s sell-by date and needs an upgrade.

You’ve done a great job reviewing all these products, well done.

  7. Dinh

I have been wanting to get either a treadmill or an elliptical machine for my new house.
We moved recently and I had to leave my old treadmill so I have not been working out like I should be.
I find having fitness equipment about the house is very convenient especially when I am a mum running around with a multitude of things to do. It’s nice to go on the machine when I have a quick 20 mins.

Thanks for all the suggestions with the rowing machines and the like but I think I will check out the treadmill as I am used to that. 🙂

    1. Simon Watson Post author

haha and no thank you Dinh for taking the time to comment on this post. Sticking to what you know best is good, but, diversifying (trying new thing in this case) can SERIOUSLY improve your health as different apparatus do slightly different things for you, all positive!

  8. John

I’m really liking that Sunny Exercise bike man! I just started running again and sadly enough, my age is starting to kick in and my knees aren’t in the best shape. In need of an exercise bike or an elliptical of some sort. What do you think about that Sunny bike?

    1. Simon Watson Post author

Actually, to be perfectly honest, I did only choose the best for the site anyway so I think obviously that it is great, you will still get the cardio’ workout that you would from running John but, it is MUCH less of an impact workout! It comes with all of the features as the review suggests. Did you read my review on it mate?

  11. Jimmy A. Dolo

I love those equipment but I never had one. I see these are for the young ones who aspire for body shape and fitness.

Is there any more equipment good for the elderly that doesn’t exert much movement and effort?

    1. Simon Watson Post author

No, they are for any aged people! Seriously, it matters not what age you are when you are using them, just tat you really push yourself. Resulting in you losing weight and/or getting healthier. Please do not shy away from them just because you think they are for the young Jimmy, they are not.

  12. rebecca kosmidou

This is definitely a great list of gym fitness equipment, Simon! I strongly agree with you! It is not only a matter of healthy diet; we have to do some exercise too! The problem is that we are so lazy to do so or we start training and a month ago we are getting bored and stop doing so! Anyway, I think that Go plus Exercise Bike is good for getting started! What do you think?
    Best wishes,

    1. Simon Watson Post author

That is great Haley, thank you for your kind words indeed. And yes that is what I am attempting to do, persuade people to make the change, to opt for a new more healthy lifestyle.

  15. Brianna

Great stuff! Totally agree that eating healthy AND exercise is the way to a healthier lifestyle. Love how you have this laid out. Lots of different options for rowing machines and exercise bikes, plus I really like how there are descriptions of each underneath, that is really helpful. I have a rowing machine and bike at home and I think it just helps so much that they’re right in my home. Don’t have to be anxious about going to the gym! Thank you.

    1. Simon Watson Post author

ha yea great Bri’ working out is so much easier to do, not only for reasons of time, but you are right, you need to feel comfortable and relaxed in your workout. If you are not, then you will most probably rush through the workout in your desperate attempt leave and find somewhere more at home (excuse the pun) This will then quite obviously mean that you will not attain the maximum benefit from it.

  16. Francis Donaghy

Simon, a great article. Very detailed and precise. I like the use of bullet points. As I have dyslexia, I don’t like “wordy” paragraphs. Give it to me in BiteSize formats.
You know your stuff. Well done, continue the great work.

    1. Simon Watson Post author

Thank you very much Francis. Yes, I have tried to break it up just for that reason, to make it as easy to read as possible. Now, although I am sorry about you having dyslexia, I am actually happy to hear that you found it favourable to read, if that makes any sense lol. Thank you for the comment.

      1. Francis Donaghy

You are very welcome Simon. Dyslexia is something I’ve literally battled with for so many years, that reading has been a problem.
Of course it makes sense. As a “teacher” in your area or niche, making the most simple changes helps everyone.
As I’ve said, keep it going!

  17. Timotheus

Thanks for this post, Simon! I used to go to the gym, but kept giving up. Too much effort to schedule time from busy schedule, travel to the gym, change, workout, and then shower, and change, then to work or back home. And as mentioned, especially for people with busy work schedule, this is a great option.

I have knee injury in the past. Now it’s generally all right as long as I don’t stress them. Is any of the treadmill ideal for being gentle on the knees while I do brisk walks on them, eventually building up to a run (hopefully)?

    1. Simon Watson Post author

Thank you for the comment Tim’ and yes they are all ok but in particular, the Nautilus T614 is supposed to be easy on the knees. And also yes to the fact that if you can be BOTHERED it is much more time efficient to workout at home, I agree with you.

  18. Chris

Hey Simon, I like this kit. Much prefer garage full of stuff to going to the gym. I think I like the exerpeutic 400 best. I like the idea of a breathable seat. I have moved away from treadmills as they jar my knees, but the exercise bikes are the way to go, Used to cycle, but you can’t get knocked off a static one in the garage. That fold up one looks the best option, as it takes up very small space when folded.
Thanks for a very comprehensive review. Some great equipment there. Many thanks, Chris

    1. Simon Watson Post author

You are very welcome Chris, and yes, the Exerpeutic 4000 is without question my favourite exercise bike. This is based on it having all of the features one would need.

AS WELL as the fact that it is super comfortable too. It should make your exercising a total walk in the park. Obviously though, you still have to put in the KMs lol.

  19. Nenad

Totaly agree! Its my experience too, when i go to gym, that does not last long, but having a gym in front of your eyes will definitely be way more efective and productive!

I have a question if you can help me,what would be the best combination of all of this equipments if i have to pick just trhee of them? I dont have so much space in my room,so what would bi your advice for me?

  20. Sharon Whyte

Wow you cover alot of exercise equipment here and I guess it is up to the individual what they like. I am more a of at home exerciser as opposed to going to the gym. That why it is done in my own time. Gyms are just an added cost really however each to their own – some do like the social aspect as well. Me, I just want to get the weight off!!! And I have to exercise and eat well as well!
Thanks for sharing your informative post.
    Cheers, Sharon

    1. Simon Watson Post author

You are most welcome Sharon, I totally agree, the gym is just an extra cost that a large majority of us cannot REALLY afford!!!! lol. Yep, in an ideal world we do only need those two elements, healthy diet and some exercise – simple when you think about it!

  21. JRay

Great, informative page. You discuss several different exercise equipment and their key attributes – I have personally used the Sole Elliptical Trainer and it is a great piece of exercise equipment. It is easy to navigate through the workout selections. The machine itself is excellent to use for your workouts.

    All the best,

    1. Simon Watson Post author

Thanks JRay for the approving comment of my post on home gym exercise equipment. Yes it is meant to be very good hence the reason that it made it to my short list of pieces of apparatus that you should ideally own.

  22. Online with Nerissa S.

One of these pieces of home gym fitness equipment, would be a good investment for me, because with two little ones, it is very hard for me to actually make it to the gym. In the last three months I have went ZERO times, although, each month the gym membership bill is coming out of my bank account.

I think that the Marcy Upright exercise bike is more suited to my interests in toning strength in my legs, and I typically take a jog around the neighbourhood with the kiddos in the evenings (so the treadmill is out of the question for me)… Thank you for putting it all in one place for me to review.

    Great comparisons.

    -Nerissa S.

    1. Simon Watson Post author

Ohh, you are most welcome Nerissa and thank you for taking the time to comment it is highly appreciated. Yea you see that is the only thing with gym memberships, as they are usually paid on an annual basis they ensure that they still get paid each month even when a person doesn’t even use it.

That is why, in my opinion, it is a lot cheaper to workout at home. Plus as I’m sure you can imagine, it doesn’t have just it’s financial reward!

  23. Chris Shouse

Great information on all the things that are not available to have a home gym. For many reasons, the gym doesn’t get used as much after people join. Having home equipment makes a lot of sense. I would really like a Bow Flex to take care of 3 things at once.

    1. Simon Watson Post author

hAHA THANKS FOR YOU COMMENT Chris, AND YES, I THINK PEOPLE DO START OUT WITH THE BEST OF INTENTIONS. “oH LOOK i’VE JOINED A GYM AND NOW i’LL GET FIT” KIND OF THIS, BUT WHERE People choose, YES CHOOSE to let themselves down, is by displaying a lack of consistency in attendance. All the best intentions in the world will not make it happen unless ACTION is taken!

  24. Jim

I presently have a Schwinn Airdyne, and a Bowflex Tread-climber. I’ve had then both for many years. I do wish that I had a Nautilus incline though. I have really liked the Tread-climber, but it’s actually a bit noisy when you use it. I just think an incline would be better. But the Schwinn Airdyne is fantastic. Maybe the only drawback is that you can’t adjust down the resistance enough for someone who isn’t very strong in their legs. I like all the review though. Thanks a lot. Which are your personal favorite? And you ever tried a Tread Climber?

    1. Simon Watson Post author

Hey, hi there Jim. Thanks a lot, you don’t know what pleasure it fives me to hear you say that you like all my reviews on the home gym fitness equipment. And no, personally, I have never used a tread climber but I have actually heard good things about them. Although I had also heard of their noise issue when they are “worn in” lol. Thanks so much for you good strong and positive comment.

  25. Blame

I have a friend who works twelve hours everyday. By the time he gets home, he is completely exhausted from his day’s job. As an end result, he never feels the motivation to head out to the gym to do exercise. He is overweight by around twenty pounds and he was thinking about getting a machine to work out with in his house. You have some nice stuff here. I am sure he would love the treadmills. He used to do a lot of hiking so walking is his thing when it comes to exercises. Thank you for the recommendation.

    1. Simon Watson Post author

Cool, you are most welcome my friend. Yes, that is the big problem these days. The one of time.

Many MANY people who want to workout just simply do not have it! With working longer hours as we do these days, exercise just gets overlooked.

Point him in the direction of this site, it will assist him in losing his 20 lbs for certain and thank you for the comment.

  26. Kevin McNamara

    Great post Simon!

I think we have all owned or know someone who has owned some gym equipment for their home. I certainly have and even still have some free weights at home.

A great introduction to all these new and quite fancy machines. I am looking at getting a rower next year so will certainly check out the one you review here.

Thanks for the informative article, cheers, Kev

    1. Simon Watson Post author

Thanks kevin, and you really are most welcome my friend. Sure read the reviews, they are all honest appraisals of the apparatus. Which 1 of the three types were you looking at in particular?

  27. Nikola

Hey Simon. I like your post. It remined me that to lose weight, it isnt enogh just to eat properly. No, one must or exersise also. And what better way to do that in the comfort of ones own home- when it is a bad weather outside I mean.
I think I will son buy one as a presnt for my uncle. His birthday is coming up. I will give hm…health:)

    1. Simon Watson Post author

Haha good job Nikola, nice to see that the post really inspires people to buy some home gym fitness equipment,. And yu are right, bad weather is blamed for most people “getting away” with not doing their exercise. But with a piece of this there is no excuse whatsoever.

  28. Shadisharrah

You are doing a great job with this content in your website this is very helpful and useful, and also imfomative articlse here, i really needed it, do these equipments work? I mean have you had any experiences with them? Because i tried some and they were all a scams!!!!

    Thank you! 🙂

    1. Simon Watson Post author

Haha, yes I have at one time or another had experience with all three of the types of equipment, and SCAMS lol, where ever you have read that or heard that it has obviously come from a source who really does not know what they are talking about! They ARE not SCAMS my friend!

  29. Damian

Very informative article you got here, I can tell you that I love rowing machines personally. One of my favorite activities I do for competition is rowing, Especially when working out on one at home for cardio and overall strength. This is a great finisher to add to any workout as well. once again, very informative! I need to get a personal one soon as the last one I had was borrowed, time for a new Christmas present.

    1. Simon Watson Post author

Haha yes Damien Christmas present it is! And I also too love the rowing machine. I used to use regularly a couple before I had my accident which left me disabled.

I have tried to include every possible piece of information in the article to help all of the readers make a better informed decision. Although the most expensive, I prefer the concept2 as I just love the interactive feature on it it seems brilliant to me!

  30. Gomer Magtibay

Hi Simon, I commend you for coming up with a nice list of fitness machines. I am going to bookmark this post of yours as physical fitness will be my next goal this 2017. I used to jog every morning in a nearby oval here, and perhaps, having one of these machines can be one of my prospects this coming year.

I have a question: Among these machines, which one do you recommend for a beginner like me? There are too many of them here, that’s why I asked. I will appreciate your reply to this, as you are now my newfound coach with regard to physical fitness.

    1. Simon Watson Post author

haha ok and thank you Gomer Magtibay! I would personally use the exercise bike as it is for total beginners, and, although it does provide you wit a strength workout it is a slightly more gentle cardio (your breathing)workout than the other two. (Rowing machine and treadmill.)

Although these two are good, you should ease into it, followed by the treadmill then the rowing machine to fine tune your fitness 🙂

  31. Holly

I thought your article was very informative. Anyone wanting to have a large selection to choose the best equipment for themselves, this is a great place to go. There is a couple grammar errors though. Yet overall I would recommend your site to anyone wanting to loose weight or get fit at home. I like that you put a lot of detail in each of the equipment. You sound professional and also truly interested in helping others achieve this goal. I like that there is lots of choices and details. Only thing to ad, if possible, is there a weight of each machine jic someone has to move it without help for others. I look forward to reading more from you.

    1. Simon Watson Post author

Thank you Holly for your kind and gracious comment, and, yes I{ am committed to helping others lose weight as I myself REALLY piled on the lbs when/since I became disabled.

But with following the advice I have written about here I am losing weight again and returning down to my “normal” weight!

  32. John

    Hey simon
Thank you for the great article! I love how you went into great detail about all the different pieces of equipment. I personally hate the gym atmosphere so I would love to have my own home gym. This article definitely gave me a good starting point. Thanks so much!

    1. Simon Watson Post author

AWW thanks John and you are most welcome indeed. Yes, before my accident I used to go to the gym, and since, have worked out at home. This I find to be a lot easier, less time consuming and a wholr lot more practical.

  33. Steph

Hi Simon, thanks for putting together this list. I like the idea of being able to do exercise in the comfort of my own home compared to being in a gym, and now I have a list of options to go through.

I like rowing machines and think I would have to choose between the stamina air rower and the sunny health and fitness rowing machine. They’re both quite affordable and offer some really good features.

Which one of the two do you think offers the best value for money? I look forward to your response.

    1. Simon Watson Post author

Ooh, now that is a tough question, as they are both similar in the features they possess. Howeve,r I would say that the Stamina would have the edge purely because it is made by a better-renowned maker of fitness equipment Steph’

  34. Scott

    Hey Man,

This is a great post with lots of nice details on each exercise bike. I need to get back in shape and I’m starting to let my lazy side take over my priorities for health. I’m gonna refer back to this as a reference as a lot of these are very affordable and would be a great Christmas gift for myself and of course, the fiancee who hates the gym!

    Thanks again

    1. Simon Watson Post author

haha yes, must keep the other half happy. I have tried to list all of the points that a person may wish to know on the apparatus, helping them to make a much more informed decision if they really are thinking of purchasing one of them, either fro me or another source. Thank you for the comment Scott!

  35. Charred R.

This article content is really helpful. I like how you described all the home gym fitness equipment as this will help the buyer to find which equipment best suited their goals. I’m into workout so I will definitely suggest the treadmill for my cutting routine. What do you suggest for gent’s and women who’s looking for intense cardio?

    1. Simon Watson Post author

Personally, I do not think that you can beat a good rowing machine R.C as they give you a full body workout. That said though the treadmill is also excellant and to a lesser extent the exercise bike, IMHO. But seeing as you already use a treadmill then…………..

  36. Ron

I like to work out really early mornings 4-5 am, so a trip to the gym that time of day would not be a joy. I like the treadmills more so than a bike. My concern is that I am small and lose weight rapidly. I am looking for a program or diet to gain a little weight (Being diabetic it’s not easy) most programs are design to lose weight.

    1. Simon Watson Post author

Yes u are correct, most programs are design to lose weight, BUT not only that. They are also designed to get a person healthier too. What is you height ad current weight Ron?

      1. Ronald

I am 5’9″ weight 153 lbs with any exercise I could drop 1-2 lbs a week that is not what I am looking to do. The exercise is to help keep my blood sugar low, so I don’t want to cut back on that.

        1. Simon Watson Post author

Well firstly let me thank you for the comment Ronald, and secondly, all I can say to that is you go for it and keep a regular check on that blood sugar level my friend! All of these apparatus will serve you well in that area.

  37. Kent

I like running outside but its always raining in the city I live in. I could get an indoor treadmill and/or a stationary bike. I looked at some of the prices and Im surprised at how affordable it is. for 3 hundred bucks I can have my own stationary bike, that is a amazing. beats going to the gym on a rainy cold day. good job with the article, keep writing.

    1. Simon Watson Post author

Oh I will/am Kent/ Thank you so very much for your kind comment. They will in the long run workout a lot A LOT cheaper than ANY gym membership. You just need to possess the discipline to use it!

  38. Nathan

Buying a gym membership is so expensive now a days, everyone is flocking to home fitness machines. The machines that let you pump a fan is great for those hot days, just kidding, my wife would love the Exerpeutic 4000 Exercise Bike. Once we have the money, I want to get that for her as a gift.

    1. Simon Watson Post author

Aww, nice one Nathan n yea get her AND you to get fit lol Oh by the way, I take it you read the review on it right, by clicking on the picture? The review that it will take you to is a very detailed and honest apraisal of the Exerpeutic 4000

  39. Lyle

You’ve got some great information here on each piece of equipment. I think they would definitely be best suited to those who have a really busy lifestyle and try to save time wherever they can.

I just wanted to know, which one would you most recommend? I’m quite skinny so would be happy to put on a little muscle all the while improving my cardio vascular endurance.

    Cheers for the good read!

    1. Simon Watson Post author

I’m afraid that is an impossible question to answer at this point my friend as I am not aware of your budget?

  40. WMP

This is a great list of home gym fitness equipment here. Many of the people who are over-weight would like to workout and lose weight. But they don’t have the time to go to the gym. However, if they buy workout equipment that they can store at home it will motivate them to workout more regularly. Which one is your favorite here?

    1. Simon Watson Post author

I love the Exerpeutic 4000 recumbent exercise bike, but if I could afford it I would DEFINITELY have the Concept2 rowing machine. Both are great cardiovascular workouts but I like the interaction that you get on the concept2. Did you click on the pictures to read my reviews?

  41. Hari

I was looking for some suggestions on home gym equipment and I landed on your page at the right time, I really liked stamina rowing machine since I have never tried it before, so I think I can try it this time.

    1. Simon Watson Post author

Cool, I am really glad that I was able to offer you some suggestion my friend. Yes, the stamina rowing machine is a brilliant machine. Did you click on the picture of it to read the review on it?

  42. Jed

Exercising indoors is a great option to shed those extra pounds. I never thought about it until now. What do you think would be a better option for someone who has never used an indoor exercise machine? Thank you for all the information on the various equipment.

  43. Carla

Hi there you have some great exercise machines there but can you say whether any of these fold up to be put away which would be perfect for people who do not have much space? As I would like one of these at home but I have no space to leave it anywhere full-time. Thanks

    1. Simon Watson Post author

Thanks for you comment Carla and yes, space is at a premium. I hear that a lot from people. And I am sure that I s ay on the site if they fold away. Did you click the pictures to be taken to the reviews? I say in them, at least I think I do. 🙂

  44. Michael

Simon I definitely agree with purchasing a home apparatus, it will save money in the long run that one would use to go to the gym and it would be available to us in the comfort of our homes to use anytime we want and for as long as we want. Thanks

  45. Kathy

Hi, Simon, I have always wanted to have a home gym and I think now is the right time to plan on having one set up. Having workouts at home is more convenient and I can always work out any time that I want to.

Of course minus that social interaction that a real gym brings. These equipment look awesome and this post couldn’t have come at a better time. I think the Exerpeutic 4000 exercise bike would be awesome to have at home. Which one would you recommend to someone setting up a home gym for the first time?

  46. dawn oconnor

Hiya, I live with a lot of older folk age above 55+ up to 80 ish, is there a gentle type of exercise machine we could buy to keep in the communal lounge that will not scare the life out of them?

    1. Simon Watson Post author

hahah yes I think so. I have just sent you a message with a couple of options in it that will not scare “the living daylights” out of them.

  47. Anis Chity

What a great list of home gym fitness equipment, I care about my health and always try to do healthy activities.

I am actually a semi-professional football player, I need to jog regularly, sometimes it sucks to jog on a heavy rainy day, what machine would you suggest and will guarantee me stamina?

Thanks for sharing this awesome list and have a good day 🙂

  48. Stephen Payne

    Hi Simon,

You have a great variety of exercise machines here. As a former Personal Trainer, I can personally vouch for the rowers and the treadmills.

I particularly like the Nautilus brand, as they are well constructed, sturdy and dependable. Both are excellent for doing High-Intensity Impact Training (HIIT), which is a great anaerobic method of elevating metabolism and resting heart rate.

    Great site!

    Regards –

    1. Simon Watson Post author

Thanks Stephen your comment is much appreciated and yes I looked at all of the stats on the machines before I loaded them onto the site so that I only have fantastic ones, I think!

  49. Mike

Great amount of options. I’m not the type of person that exercises regularly. Which machine would you recommend for someone that’s a newbie?

    1. Simon Watson Post author

Personally, I would recommend that you get the Stamina Rowing Machine/Exercise Bike as it combines both an exercise bike and a rowing machine, so you get two workouts in one machine. It is great if you do not want to take up to much room.

  50. Craig

The post, home gym fitness equipment was great to read, and I found it very informative. I am one of those people that would much rather use this in the comfort of my home instead of the gym. I purchased a treadmill a few years ago.

It was so bulky that I had to send it back, but it is great to see things have moved on and there are foldable pieces of equipment. It has peaked my interest again thank you!

    1. Simon Watson Post author

You are most welcome indeed Craig. And yes, the foldable treadmills are so-so much better in terms of saving space aren’t they ? 🙂

  51. Sharon Cowie

    Hi Simon,
This is a very comprehensive and informative list of home gym fitness equipment. Which one to choose! It has really opened my eyes up to how much is out there. Love it!

    1. Simon Watson Post author

Well, thanks a lot for your lovely comment, Sharon. And yes I have tried exactly that. To create a comprehensive list of apparatus and did you check out the reviews on each of the products by clicking on either the title of the apparatus or the picture of it itself?

  52. Lawrence Gregory

Wow! – this is an awesome post!

I’m not going to lie, I always get excited about the thought of having a treadmill, exercise bike and a rowing machine =)

I can clearly see myself having this home gym fitness equipment eventually!

    Thanks a lot Simon…

P.S – Your site is getting better and better =D

    1. Simon Watson Post author

Thanks heaps Lawrence and yes I have listed some of the best equipment and all of their features. You WILL lose weight and/or get fitter by including the use of one of these pieces of home gym fitness equipment in your life!!

  53. Simon Watson Post author

Thanks so much and yes I can tell by your DN. I think personally I have some of the best equipment there is on offer, what do you think? Have you heard of any of them or the makers at least mate?

  54. Mohammad Makki

Excellent list Simon. I’ve meant to get my home gym fitness equipment for some time now, so it’s great that you gathered so many good ones in one spot. I’m lost as to where to start, though.

I mean, it’s impractical just to get one of each, all at once. What should be my highest priority for my first machine? I do a lot of cardio, but a treadmill seems very simple. What do you think would cover the most bases?

    1. Simon Watson Post author

Well, first and predominantly you need to increase your cardiovascular system. All of the three apparatus are great cardio workouts. The exercise bike and treadmill focus mainly on the leg muscles although the exercise bike does have SOME other muscle enhancing benefits. I would suggest the rowing machine tho for that more all round toning and Cardio workout Mo’

  55. Nnamdi

Hey Simon, you just made a whole list of beautiful home gym equipment. They are awesome and I like the fact that owning one or two these could actually help me to lose weight and get in shape from the convenience of my home.

Just like you rightly mentioned that gym can be distracting. I will have to peruse the equipment again to know which one is affordable and also useful.

Thank you because you just made it easier to find a home gym equipment.

    1. Simon Watson Post author

No, thank you, Nnamdi, your comment is most appreciated. And yes I have listed some of the best apparatus money can buy IMO. There will, however, be several more added over the coming months.

What I would recommend tho, if you can both save or initially afford it, is to go for the concept2 rowing machine as it is the daddy of apparatus as my review suggests.

You have to click on either the title of the kit or click on the photos!

  56. Jeremy

Wow, there are quite a few great looking pieces of home gym fitness equipment here. I am especially interested in the rowing machines. I always see people sweating like crazy on them but every time I get on it I have trouble getting a good workout.

I turn the resistance up but at soon as the momentum starts going it feels like the resistance goes away. Is there a trick to using these correctly?

    1. Simon Watson Post author

I would assume that you are doing the rowing action incorrectly although I may be wrong. If you have turned the resistance right the way up it should be difficult to perform a handful of rowing actions unless you are a very accomplished rower?

  57. Peter Mantu

    HI there,

Can you believe that I am actually looking for some equipment for my home gym too. This post could not have come at a better time. Thanks for sharing this with us mate. All the best to you.

    1. Simon Watson Post author

No problem my friend, haha It is great that I have enlightened you to some of the possibilities of some home gym fitness equipment, it really is. I just hope that you have learned something from reading my reviews of them (got by clicking either on the title or the photo 🙂
      Thank you

  58. Kevin Bulmer

    Hi Simon,
This is a great collection. Good work!
I exercise regularly but have been battling shin splints in my left leg recently, which has ruled out running, jogging, skipping and jumping for now. That’s caused some frustration as I look to something that can still get my heart-rate up but with less impact.

I find I’m not a big fan of stationary bikes, and I’m so-so on the elliptical machine. But I’d never considered a combination of bike and rowing machine like the one you have listed above. Interesting! I’ll look into it further.
Thanks for the great resource. Keep it up.
    All the best,

    1. Simon Watson Post author

Oh I will KB make no mistake, and, there are many more machines soon to be posted for sure. Keep an eye out for more home gym fitness equipment then!!! Thanks for the kind comment
