  2. Hello, this is very good advice and some sound tips. A tip I found helpful was the importance of having high-quality sources of quick protein on hand to prevent me from snacking on high carbohydrate foods.

    I keep on hand boiled eggs in the fridge so I can peel and snack on them, make a protein-rich sandwich, slice them on a salad or put them with crackers, cheese, pickles and sliced meat for a quick meal. Cottage cheese is another great thing to have on hand.

    It is important to have a source of protein whenever we consume carbs so that our blood sugar doesn’t spike leading to fat accumulation. A tablespoon or so of cottage cheese if we are eating something that does not include protein can make the difference between storing fat or burning it.
