I Had To Naturally Lose Weight After My Accident

When I was working in a garden laying some slabs for a new patio when out of nowhere I became the victim of an accident; I slipped on some mud and BANG! I smashed my head on a brick wall knocking myself out.

Within seconds I had gone from a happy go lucky gentleman to one who was in a coma. I was not aware of anything.

Yes, I was in a coma, which to others who visited me on a regular basis was to last an eternity. It would last a very long 13.5 weeks. And when I came around from the coma, I had significant confusion.

As time went by I got to a point where I desperately needed the best diets to lose weight naturally as I was piling on the Lbs fast due to lack of mobility and therefore lack of any activity.

I remember this as I will do every day, just like yesterday, even though ten years have now passed. I tried to move but I couldn’t. That was not due to the pegs and tubes I had inserted into me.

No! It was because I couldn’t move my right arm or right leg. FOR WHAT SEEMED LIKE AN ETERNITY I LAY THERE WITH A FEELING OF UTTER DREAD THAT HAD FALLEN ON ME LIKE A THUNDERSTORM.

After spending all of this time in the hospital, they took the next logical step. Yes, they were sending me to a rehabilitation ward. That was to try to learn to walk again. That to me was a massive challenge.

I hurt, from the fact I had to start over with what to me should be second nature. I then had to spend a further two long years in care.

When I was ready to go home, my sister very kindly came forward. She gave me a roof over my head. The clock went by, and finally, I went to my flat which I now happily live. It is where I write this blog.

As I have said, I began to pile it on. And boy did I ever need to lose the weight fast, and it was only due to a very fit and healthy friend of mine (Gym goer) that I realized there was a healthy way out of this.

I was staying more and more inside. So I was going to do something about it. That is where all of my knowledge and knowledge of healthy and natural weight loss comes. Because, my goodness, I needed it.

    First of all I am sorry to hear about your accident. I do not know what I would have done when something like that had to happen to me. Still, you needed to naturally lose weight and it sounds like you did it 🙂

    The biggest factor in weight loss for me is the amount of energy and toxins that you put into your body. Our bodies were not designed to eat that much food and now we have to suffer for it.

I don’t know if I agree with your comment around saving money while dieting or eating healthily. I have been dieting off and on for 20-odd years and every time we start a diet it seems to cost more. Firstly, there is the initial investment in ‘re-stocking’ the fridge but generally isn’t junk food cheaper than nice, lean cuts of meat, fish, chicken? That’s my experience. Maybe I’m doing something wrong!

    I wish everyone who is overweight can stick to a weight plan that you have mentioned throughout your information on naturally lose weight, which is by natural means.

    I know a lot of Polynesian people (Samoans in particular) who have come to the states and became very over weight and I have been told by them that it is because of the food diet change and the different climate conditions.

    I really dont know if this is true or not but do you think it could just be Hereditary?

      Weight gain CAN definitely be a hereditary occurrence but in this instance it will more than likely be the change in diet. From going from a healthy established diet to one that is full of rubbish in particular sugar which we should all know is so so bad for us.     In my case, I find whenever I gain weight, it not only affects how I look in my jeans, but it’s also much harder for me to find motivation both mentally and physically, and you are so right that junk food and sweets can be such a trap!

    I read your post and I can relate. I had hip surgery when I was in university and had to relearn how to walk again. It was awful and incredibly tough, and like you said you gain weight so quickly it’s shocking. I’m just starting to get back into shape after losing large amounts of my weight as well.

    I can relate to having to lose weight.I have loved to eat all my life, and every time I get nervous, or upset, I tend to overeat. And sure enough I have to get off my butt and get moving.I used to use supplements to help get weight off like green tea tablets, but found out that you just need to eat the right foods, and exercise, and drink water. I now walk each morning at sunrise for thirty minutes, and eat smaller portions. Your website has a ton of information and will book mark this as the information site to go to.I liked your video and will try the 45 second intense moves. Thanks for the info!

    You speak the truth that I want to hear – that there is a natural way of losing weight. I have read many news of poor souls that got worse from their taking instant weight-loss drugs, which usually attacks the liver due to its strength, unfortunately, not for slimming, but something else.

    And you say to ‘keep the discipline’. You are right again, my man. It will be worse, when, after slimming down, we get back to the usual fill-up-to-the-brim way of eating.

    This is a lovely little website and this method of weight loss does actually work but remembering to cut out sugary drinks and cutting back on milk consumption and using powdered sweetner along with this . its so easy to just eat and drink junk and then cry after because you’ve gotten fat but websites like this are a reminder of what you’re doing to your body on a daily basis and inspiration on how we should adjust our eating habits . nice website 🙂

    Excellent array of categories and subheadings for each one with drop-down window is very effective. May I ask you which Theme did you use in constructing this site since I am thinking of changing my theme.?Good use of images, videos and product reviews.

    Your personal story is very compelling and gives credibility to yourself and why you created this site.Great niche site, done really well and you are following the WA training videos to a “T” it seems to me.

    I am a true gym rat, from the time I was 13 and got my first set of weights for Christmas I was hooked and Muscle and Fitness magazine was my bible.

    There was at that time a gym culture and it was a close knit clique. You had to put in you dues to get anywhere near them. Unfortunately that lead to gym related injuries, which led to recovery time, which lead to weight gains and not the good kind.

    Fortunately sites like yours openly offer information that was formerly guarded so closely. What’s different is you walked the walk and learned to walk it again and now others can benefit from your experience.

    G’day Simon, you are my hero mate this site is pack full of information and how to naturally lose weight is always the way to go. I always say to people get in touch with your body and learn how it works, get to know yourself body/mind. Remembering one thing prevention is better than a cure to any illness, learn what foods your body loves and it doesn’t like. For me it was the mediterrianean diet it made sense my parents where Italian, but i love raw too. Have fun with and enjoy eating thank you Simon you have inspired me .

    Very inspiring and I’m so sorry you had to go through that. I’ve tried constantly to change my eating and exercise habits as I know I will be happier and healthier in the end, but it’s so difficult to stay on track. I lose sight of my goal for a day, and I’m back to my bad habits for months on end. In the coming weeks, I plan on really cracking down to make sure that what decisions I make in my lifestyle are ones that I will keep for a long time to come.

    Hi Simon,

    Loosing weight is something many people around the world struggle with. I think loosing the weight is the easy part for most people.

    You finally get to that place where you make the commitment to loose the weight through what ever diet or other means that you choose and within a month or two the ponds start to disappear.

    I believe the key is in life stile change and developing new and better eating habits. Going on a diet never seems to work because once you loose the weight and the diet is over it is to easy to slip back into your old habits.
    Healthy eating habits are beneficial in more ways then one and developing healthy eating habits is not only the key to loosing weight but it’s also the key to living a healthier, happier life.

    What a wonderfully smart approach to weight management, which so many struggle with.

    I have always had a healthy diet, thankfully for me I never developed a taste for “Fast Food” or high fructose corn syrup which is literally killing our society.

    I guess I naturally developed a taste for REAL food that has carried through most all my adult life.
    I attribute my escape to the fact that my mom was a part of the processed, chemical laden food that was fed to most of us during those early dark days of industrial farming.

      That is the key. Keeping it off. These pill companies don’t work as they are a continued expense with having to keep purchasing them to stop the weight going back on. Why bother when we can just eat healthy and naturally.

And yes i maybe in a wheel chair Catherine but thankful by some miracle i managed to retain my marbles. It is unfortunate that weight then became an issue with me but having my head still screwed on so to speak allowed me to take decisive action and now things are looking so much better and ALL thanks to cutting out the crap and following a healthy diet.

      thanks a lot matey and yes diet is the easiest but also the hardest part to address. I know exactly where you are coming from as i used to be a club cricketer and although drinking alcohol was a regular social event i never really mastered the diet until after my accident. Be sure to follow the guides within this website and to coin a phrase you “Wonder what all the fuss was about” When your finally into your healthy eating routine. It honestly isn’t that difficult

      Exactly thank you for your comments Nada and Chris. I quite simply speak the truth when i say that bleached products and fast food are very bad for you. Both in you physical appearance but more importantly for me your actual health. I am not a person who bases anything on looks more so the inside of the person and our diets must then speak volumes about our insides. This is why i have “Hit the nail on the head simply by trying to steer the public back to our roots and that is to eat naturally. All the natural produce is there for a reason don’t forget.
