The Schwinn Airdyne AD6 Exercise Bike is most definitely one of my best recommendations, and It has its review right here. I will list the target market, pros and its cons rounding off with my final verdict on the piece of apparatus.

It is a very trusted maker who has been making excellent fitness equipment for some time now. The apparatus is known for the individual being able to perform a full body workout/exercise.

Who Is This Schwinn Airdyne AD6 Exercise Bike For

This Schwinn AD6 Airdyne exercise bike has a target market the aim is to accommodate both beginners and the more experienced of riders. That means no matter what level you are at you can use all of its many features and wow does it come with a lot of them.

That is why I highly recommend it and following this review I think that you will like it also. It does cater for all levels of users because it is a new bike and Schwinn have obviously listened to their customer’s views and made it very easy to use. They have.

Pros

  • It is a very compact design. Fits nicely out of the way in the corner of your room.
  • It has a big fan, thus giving that extra sensation of real riding, with the wind all around you, superb.
  • Takes under an hour to assemble.
  • Infinite wind resistance (the harder you pedal the more resistance there is)
  • When you compare it to other exercise bikes, the fan is pretty quiet.
  • The onboard fan blows cold air, so it makes you feel a lot more comfortable.
  • Has six pre-programmed workout metrics to try.
  • The kit has a very handy water bottle holder.
  • Has 4 “feet” for that extra stability
  • Feels very sturdy.
  • It is on wheels for easy storage.
  • It is easy to set up and just “ride.”
  • The fitness equipment has a superb warranty of 15 years on the frame, two years on all electronics, three years on parts, six months on labor.
  • Duel motion (Works arms and legs)
  • 300 pounds weight capacity.
  • Extra padded seat so as to avoid the dreaded saddle sore.
  • Strapped self-balancing peddles for total motion control.
  • RPM gauge. That is perfect for HIIT. (High-intensity interval training)

Cons

 They are –

  • It is quite hard to move around over a carpeted floor.
  • The LCD console/Panel is not backlit.
  • The apparatus has a 300 lbs (pounds) weight limit.Which may or may not be good?
  • Reports have a mention that it is not suitable for anyone under 5 feet 4 inches.
  • If you want to use the heart rate monitor you need the strap, it is available separately.
  • Batteries for the actual computer are not in with the kit.

My Thoughts

Schwinn is reputed to be a brilliant manufacturer, trustworthy and reliable and what it is with this Schwinn AD6 exercise bike, you can certainly tell where this reputation did arrive.  With the superb warranty, it is a fact that Schwinn has got you fixed for any negative events that may happen with the exercise bike.

I don’t honestly know whether or not the lack of a backlit LCD panel will be much of a negative to you. Although most people like to perform their workout in the evening when the light is not so good, it is nothing that a strategically placed lamp could not solve.

As for the difficulty moving over the carpet, this is something that I cannot comment on as it would all have to depend on whether you need to wheel it away anywhere and how much floor space you have to cover.

As for the “not over 300 lbs (pounds) limit well I honestly feel that commercial equipment is in need in these cases as the person will surely need to feel very safe and secure. Do you not think?

I’ve been looking at getting a Schwinn Airdyne exercise bike for years. As it seems to hold its monetary value when looking to buy an older and used one.

I think this speak highly of its craftsmanship and its dependability, especially in the fitness market.

Another great aspect about Airdyne is your using your legs and your arms, which makes it a lot better than just a regular stationary bike, where you’re using just your legs.

Killing two birds with one stone. Has the quality of materials and dependability retained after all these years, or have they gone to producing lower quality materials?
