This is a helpful list. But there are much more products that are under $1000 or $500 and these products are giving good service. I’ve written some articles about these in my personal blog. you can read it and also suggest me if I’ve done any mistake. Thanks.

I’m not sure what happened to my previous comment. But here goes again. Elliptical machine are a great way to get a high intensity workout without high intensity stress on joints. They also help you switch things up so your body won’t plateau. And since you can multitask with them they don’t turn those 45-60 something minute chunks into prison time. Great post

Firstly, let me thank you for your comment. And secondly, yes, they are a great way to break up the monotony of exercise. Switching things up is important also as you are quite right, the bodies weight loss will stall. You may slowly be moving towards a healthier you but you stop or slow right down in the weight loss area.
This, as you are aware, is not good for people morale. When they are putting the effort in and seeing no results. Then more often than not they give up. Not aware of why that is.

    Hey, Simon!

This post the best elliptical trainer under 2000 couldn’t have come at a better time! I’ve been on a health-kick lately. I’m hesitant to call it a “Health-kick” as it’s more of a slow lifestyle change. I’ve been watching tons of documentaries on Netflix including, “Fat, Sick & And Nearly Dead” 1 and 2, so I went out and bought a Breville juicer. And “Sugar Coated” – so I’ve cut refined sugars from my diet, which is a chore since I’ve got a serious sweet tooth!

Now I’m learning about the benefits of cardio exercise (just 30 minutes a day has ridiculous health benefits!). Which brings me to this article! This is a fantastic idea for me, to purchase an elliptical since I have zero motivation to go to a gym. And more fun than a treadmill, as I’m not a huge fan of running.

I’m going to spend some serious time checking out each one of these styles and models. I appreciate what you’ve done here. You’ve taken so much of the work out of my elliptical hunt. Appreciate it!

The “Sole Fitness E 35 Elliptical Trainer” is the one I have my eye on.
    I do have a few questions though….

Q1) Is it easy to assemble and can I do it on my own?
Q2) What sort of maintenance does it need?
Q3) When I’ve used them at the gym they feel clunky does this model also feel clunky?

    Look forward to your answers

    Reply
    1. Simon Watson Post author

Hi there Stephen. Thank you for your very pertinent questions –
For the assembly yes, it is easy to assemble, just as I say in the review on it. You can assemble it by yourself.
The only real maintenance that it may need is the track runners could need lubricating every now and again. Watch this video for further information.

      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hzaho6PIHEU

And as for the clunky sound. The ones at the gym will have a lot of different people using them. And as I am sure you are aware, everyone is different. Each person has their own way of exercising. This will mean that a lot of “Stress” is put on all of the joint of the elliptical.

This is most probably why you are hearing the clunky sounds. It is nothing that a little maintenance cannot fix.

    Hi, Simon,
Live is sometimes funny showing us the direction we need to go.

Anyway, my husband and I had discussed numerous times if we should by an Elyptical Machine or not; and if so how much can we spend.

I am searching on and off for quite some time but always wasn’ t sure if I would do the right thing.

Now, coming to your site was a real lifesaver 🙂 thank you for that.

I really like the individual review of each machine to compare, just one trouble, I found two I really like, but this isn’t your concern, of course. 🙂

Great article and I saved your site. Really happy to found it.

Thank you so much indeed, Sylvia, for your kind words on the best elliptical trainer under 2000. And yes, that is the only problem with having a selection to choose from. You will usually have more that one that catches your eye.

As a matter of fact. The main difference would appear to be the reliability of them in general. However, these are all super reliable so, you do not need to worry about that. I am glad that you found it good enough to save Sylvia. Thanks and, do not forget to refer to it lol.

    Hi Simon,

Thanks for these comprehensive reviews of the best elliptical trainers under 2000. You have certainly covered all bases. I like the look of the Schwinn 470 and the fact that it has the 3-speed fan and water bottle holder.

The 300lbs. weight limit is probably more suited for me too since I do a lot of weight training so at least I know this trainer will be able to take my weight without any issues!

I will take a look at the review more closely and get back to you if I have any questions. Cheers!

You are welcome, Craig. And that does seem like a popular choice as it has been spoken of well before. Please, take your time and look through them all again. As a matter of fact, they all have a good weight carrying limit. So, yes, personally, for me it would come down to how comfortable overall I would feel. ie the water bottle and the fan.

    Hi, Simon…

You have pulled out all the stops with this review post on all the options there are out there on the market for the best elliptical trainers under 2000.I appreciate how you have highlighted the main features of each, easy to follow and quickly rule out the ones that may not fit for the reader…

Of the many options you have provided I am attracted most by two. The first is the Schwinn 470 Elliptical Machine. I like how they have designed the machine with the user in mind. The water bottle holder and 3-speed fan, in particular, are features that work for me!

The other model that I think would suit my needs is the Sole Fitness E 33 Elliptical Trainer. The incline, 10 position programs, heart monitor, and moveable handlebars are the big sell points with this machine. I agree with your analysis that both this and the Schwinn are the best two of them all…

The images also have helped me. It is good that you have the dimensions and weight capacities, but actually being able to look how the machine sits helps me too because I can decide if the machine would fit and how it would look in my home gym.

Good job on the review and thanks for taking the time to put this together. I have bookmarked for further use…

    Cheers!
    Dave
