Weight relates to how heavy a person or object is hence the question “What is its weight?”. The weight of the body is in Kilograms in countries like the United States, Here in the UK weight is measured in stones and pounds.

More often than not, the truth behind weight loss lies in a person’s health. And it is in direct relation to their body weight.

Please Note The Devine Formula

In 1974, The ideal body weight (IBW), the Devine formula came into use and so would start the method of body mass index. However, sports like wrestling, judo, boxing, mixed martial Arts, power-lifting in which you need physical force, participants are in classes according to their body weights and not BMI (Body Mass Index). 1. extremely descriptive article, very technical and definitely high in content! sure to rank well and quickly.

how have you related to weight loss?

so a bit of critique…let’s imagine i am a 50 year old married woman with 4 kids and am researching weight loss…when coming to this page the first thing i see is a bunch of technical jargon, followed by DISORDERS, ISSUES, THEN FINALLY solutions..yikes! i came here to feel better about myself not to feel like i have a disorder or issue!! sure to steer people away—

weight loss is more of an emotional battle, i know personally because i used to be obese in my early teens and it was a devastating feeling…if i came to your blog i would want to have hope and know more about YOU simon, and your own unique journey. i want to know that i can do this, and i want to believe that all of these technical terms that you have outlined very well, will assist me in this goal.

the technical content is definitely there but try to include more emotional support and personal testimony to really relate to your reader…right now it appears much like an encyclopedia index rather than a source of inspiration (which is what overweight people truly want)

    cheers
    ben

    1. yes you are right, your point is a very valid one. I was obese to and I will have to include some inspiring elements of my weight loss journey, definitely! Now lets uncover the truth about weight loss was meant to be factual but maybe it should be inspirational to, I’ll work on that right now. Do you mind if I email you the link to it when I’m done with it?

  2. In the past, not too long ago, I did personal fitness training for a living. American Council on Exercise certified. I had quite a few clients. I got very frustrated.

While I could show and guide them at the gym the real weight loss happens in another place: The kitchen. You can spend 50 hours a week and if you eat Big Macs and fries everyday you will lose your progress.

Granted the work outs are still beneficial as your muscles will start to work as they are meant to. One function of muscle is to burn fat and as we age and lose muscle mass the fat burners slow way down. Your point on not skipping meals and have balance is right on the mark.

People tend to associate good nutrition with bad taste. That’s just not the case. The foods you point out are good to eat and taste good. People want to be healthy but many are not up the challenge.

You have an uphill battle education people on this subject but it looks to me you can handle it.

    Barry

    1. Thank you Barry for your critique of sorts. I’m sorry that things didn’t work out for you and yes, I can imagine how frustrating that must have been for ta 🙂
